Retrofit Main Switchboard & Auto Synchronization System – KRI Sultan Nuku 373

Pekerjaan retrofit Main Switchboard (MSB) dan sistem Auto Synchronization ini dilaksanakan pada KRI Sultan Nuku 373 sebagai bagian dari modernisasi sistem distribusi tenaga listrik kapal. Proyek ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keandalan, keamanan, dan efisiensi pengoperasian sistem pembangkit listrik melalui pembaruan perangkat proteksi, sistem kontrol, instrumentasi, serta teknologi sinkronisasi generator secara otomatis.

Salah satu pekerjaan utama dalam proyek ini adalah implementasi sistem Auto Synchronizer menggunakan modul EMKO untuk tiga unit generator Caterpillar C18 berkapasitas 330 kVA. Sistem ini memungkinkan proses sinkronisasi generator berlangsung secara otomatis maupun manual, disertai fungsi load sharing sehingga pembagian beban antar generator dapat berjalan lebih stabil, efisien, dan andal selama operasional kapal.

Scope of Work

  • Retrofit dan overhaul Main Switchboard (MSB) DG I, II & III
  • Kalibrasi dan overhaul Air Circuit Breaker (ACB) beserta relay proteksi
  • Upgrade sistem kontrol, instrumentasi, dan metering pada MSB & ECR
  • Instalasi Auto Synchronizer & Load Sharing Module EMKO untuk 3 × 330 kVA Caterpillar C18 Generator
  • Penggantian current transformer, transformer control, control cable, dan perangkat proteksi
  • Modifikasi sistem automatic/manual synchronization, remote start-stop, serta load transfer
  • Instalasi Local Operating Panel (LOP) generator baru
  • Setting, commissioning, running test, dan load bank test sistem sinkronisasi generator

Seluruh pekerjaan dilaksanakan mulai dari proses pembongkaran, instalasi, rekonstruksi wiring kontrol, penggantian komponen utama, konfigurasi parameter proteksi, hingga proses setting dan commissioning. Setiap tahapan dilakukan sesuai standar kelistrikan kapal dengan memperhatikan keandalan sistem distribusi daya serta keselamatan operasional kapal.

Setelah seluruh sistem selesai diintegrasikan, dilakukan pengujian fungsi proteksi, sinkronisasi manual dan otomatis, load sharing, individual load test, serta parallel generator load test menggunakan load bank untuk memastikan seluruh sistem bekerja sesuai spesifikasi operasional.

Melalui proyek retrofit dan modernisasi sistem kelistrikan ini, kami menghadirkan solusi Main Switchboard yang lebih modern, aman, dan andal untuk mendukung kontinuitas operasional kapal dalam berbagai kondisi pelayaran.

Main Switchboard Retrofit & Auto Synchronization System – KRI Sultan Nuku 373

This project involved the retrofit and modernization of the Main Switchboard (MSB) and automatic generator synchronization system onboard KRI Sultan Nuku 373. The objective was to improve the reliability, safety, and operational efficiency of the vessel's electrical power distribution system through upgrades to protection devices, control systems, instrumentation, and generator synchronization technology.

A major scope of the project included the installation of an EMKO Auto Synchronizer and Load Sharing System for three 330 kVA Caterpillar C18 diesel generators. The upgraded system enables both automatic and manual synchronization while ensuring balanced load sharing between generators for stable and efficient onboard power management.

SCOPE OF WORK

  • Main Switchboard retrofit and overhaul (DG I, II & III)
  • ACB calibration, overhaul, and protection relay calibration
  • MSB, ECR instrumentation, metering, and control system upgrade
  • Installation of EMKO Auto Synchronizer & Load Sharing Modules for 3 × 330 kVA Caterpillar C18 generators
  • Replacement of current transformers, control transformers, protection devices, and control cables
  • Modification of automatic/manual synchronization, remote start-stop, and load transfer systems
  • Local Operating Panel (LOP) installation for new diesel generators
  • System setting, commissioning, protection testing, and load bank performance testing

The project covered complete dismantling, electrical rewiring, equipment replacement, protection parameter configuration, and full commissioning. All activities were performed in accordance with marine electrical standards to ensure reliable power distribution and safe vessel operation.

Following installation, comprehensive functional testing was carried out, including protection verification, manual and automatic synchronization, load sharing validation, individual generator load tests, and parallel generator load bank testing to ensure the upgraded system met operational requirements.

Through this comprehensive retrofit project, we delivered a modern, reliable, and fully integrated Main Switchboard solution that enhances the vessel's electrical power management and long-term operational performance.
