Generator Synchronizing Panel Installation – KM. FBI 01, KM. FBI 02, KM. FBI 03

Pekerjaan instalasi panel synchronizing ini dilaksanakan pada kapal KM. FBI 01, KM. FBI 02, dan KM. FBI 03 yang berada di fasilitas galangan PT Dok Bahari Nusantara (DBN). Proyek ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keandalan sistem pembangkitan listrik kapal dengan memungkinkan proses sinkronisasi generator berlangsung secara aman dan terkontrol.

Melalui sistem synchronizing, dua unit generator dapat dioperasikan secara paralel sehingga distribusi beban listrik menjadi lebih stabil serta memberikan fleksibilitas dalam pengoperasian sistem kelistrikan kapal. Selain itu, sistem proteksi tambahan juga diterapkan untuk melindungi generator dari kondisi gangguan seperti reverse power yang berpotensi merusak peralatan pembangkit.

Scope of Work

• Pemasangan box panel synchronizing pada sistem kontrol generator
• Penambahan relay proteksi untuk sistem proteksi reverse power
• Instalasi current transformer (CT) pada rangkaian pengukuran dan proteksi
• Modifikasi wiring sistem interlock pada panel kontrol generator eksisting
• Penyesuaian sistem kontrol untuk mendukung operasi paralel generator
• Pemeriksaan fungsi sistem setelah instalasi dan modifikasi wiring

Pelaksanaan pekerjaan dilakukan dengan melakukan integrasi antara panel synchronizing baru dengan sistem kontrol generator yang telah ada sebelumnya. Proses modifikasi wiring dilakukan secara hati-hati untuk memastikan fungsi interlock antar generator tetap berjalan dengan baik serta mendukung operasi paralel yang aman.

Dengan implementasi sistem ini, pengoperasian generator pada kapal menjadi lebih fleksibel dan aman, sekaligus meningkatkan keandalan sistem distribusi daya listrik selama operasional kapal.

Melalui instalasi sistem sinkronisasi dan peningkatan proteksi generator, kami memastikan sistem pembangkit listrik kapal dapat beroperasi dengan tingkat keandalan dan keselamatan yang lebih tinggi.

Generator Synchronizing Panel Installation – KM. FBI 01, KM. FBI 02, KM. FBI 03

The generator synchronizing panel installation project was carried out for vessels KM. FBI 01, KM. FBI 02, and KM. FBI 03 at the PT Dok Bahari Nusantara (DBN) shipyard facility. The objective of this project was to enhance the reliability of the vessel’s power generation system by enabling controlled and safe generator synchronization.

By implementing a synchronizing system, two generator units can operate in parallel, allowing more stable load distribution and improved operational flexibility of the ship’s electrical system. Additional protection mechanisms were also implemented to protect the generators from potential electrical faults such as reverse power conditions.

SCOPE OF WORK

• Installation of synchronizing panel box
• Addition of protection relay for reverse power protection system
• Installation of current transformers (CT) for measurement and protection circuits
• Modification of interlock wiring system on the existing generator control panel
• Control system adjustment to support parallel generator operation
• Functional inspection after installation and wiring modification

The execution process involved integrating the new synchronizing panel with the existing generator control system. Wiring modifications were carried out carefully to ensure that the interlock system between generators operates correctly and supports safe parallel operation.

With the implementation of this system, generator operation onboard becomes more flexible and secure while improving the overall reliability of the vessel’s electrical power distribution system.

Through synchronizing system installation and generator protection enhancement, we ensure reliable and safe operation of onboard power generation systems.
